Personality

Iain has been a slave for as long as he can remember. He no longer pines for the snow-covered mountains of his homeland, only the praise of a job well done.

Through the support he received in his early years, Iain is well-adjusted to life in Aodh. A kindly soul deemed too weak-willed for the pits, his nurturing nature lent itself to caretaking. His first master capitalized on this; Iain's coat was kept free of scars, his mane and tail well-groomed for display. A lack of physical hardship and minimal verbal abuse kept his initial fear from turning to anger. Serving as both a friend and source of strength to his peers, he is deeply religious, devoted to Ignacio and Kaia equally.

While he has accepted his lot in life as a thing to be possessed, Iain retains a healthy measure of self-respect too. He knows his place, but will not degrade himself unless absolutely necessary.

History

Once a proud charge of War Forged now reduced to babysitting and chores. He has accepted his lot in life, however unfortunate, and tries to remain optimistic about the future.

A child who dared to be born in a clan who rose against the Stone-Hooves, he was culled from the herd at a young age and sent to live in Aodh as a slave. Though the owners who awaited him were not terrible as most, Iain still struggled against his new life; without parents to guide him he sought solace in a Flamen who helped him cope with captivity. Now fully grown and capable of fending for himself, he was sold as an all-purpose slave to Constance. His duties now include keeping the family safe, tending to the housekeeping, and looking after the Emin's newborn.
