Me too T.T and I refuse to have Clopin dead. He was shot but not dead lalalaaaaa.
I love how he quietly walks and sing, killing people like it's no big deal, like he's doing some peasant stuff in a field.

The sad thing is they all died except Gringoire, that idiot traitor with his goat and Phoebus, the worst coward of the story. Sad sad sad. That book made me loose faith in humanity x)

Yes... But we have a Disney version! Very-very alternative version. Hah.. And I love Clopina there.

I love the Disney version, it has all the key moments (sometimes mixed together like the feast of fools and the pillory) with less violence and a happy ending, it's cool! And Clopin stays Clopin with a little bit of Gringoire (but less a loser XD)
I bought Les Misérables with Notre Dame. A "pocket" version for which you must have VERY HUGE pockets x) but I know the story already, I've seen countless adaptations (we French are quite proud of our literary heritage apparently x)
But I need to recover from Notre Dame first. It as such a brilliant work dammit.

You can't even put it under a table to make it stable because it's so huge the table would flip by itself x)
I think it will be hard to go after Notre Dame for me because I was really in love with Clopin and Frollo and it was such a magisterial slap in my face x)

I loved this scene in the book. Clopin is such an amazing character, he's got this crazy driving force that no one else can understand. He was really a brave man. This captures him perfectly.

It was impressive, it made Notre Dame de Paris even more epic. : ) I love how they wanted to save Esmeralda, but sack the cathedral in the process. : D
