Her revenge might not be immediate, as she’s willing to wait for the opportune moment to set it off. She isn’t malicious, as she’ll give others chances to redeem themselves in her eyes by talking to them privately and explaining how their actions were hurtful. When it comes to Bentley, Chloe would do anything for him. She knows just how much he’s had to go through and yet he is so kind and giving. From the time they met as foals, she just felt this connection. It was similar to the connection she felt with her twin brother, but different in ways she couldn’t understand then. She wanted to help him, wanted him to feel safe, and wanted him to be loved. What was at first was just a little crush turned into so much more and she never regretted it. Much like how her parents and her brother had both found someone who completed them, she too found that in Bentley. She is thrilled that they are expecting their first foal, as they’ll finally be starting their own family.

As much as she loves Bentley, she does get a bit frustrated with him at times. He, like her brother, is prone to talking down about himself. She’s constantly having to nip it in the bud and refute his claims. What makes it worse is that he bears the brunt of Fletcher’s pettiness and jealousy without fighting back. In her eyes, it only encourages him to belittle Bentley further. Chloe absolutely loathes Fletcher, she has done so since he joined her father’s herd as a yearling. She can’t stand his cocky, arrogant attitude or the prince charming act he’ll put on to get mares to swoon over him. She would love to turn the tides on him and put him on blast, but she fears making life more unbearable for Bentley. So, for the time being, she watches and waits for an opportunity to get back at the golden stallion.

Chloe’s relationship with her father took a hit when he forced them to join Fletcher’s herd. Later on she found out that Bentley had agreed to it behind her back, causing her to not speak with him for a couple days. It infuriated her that neither horse had asked her opinion about it, cause she sure as heck wouldn’t have agreed to it. While she understands the reasons for it, she doesn’t agree that Bentley couldn’t have protected her. She feels like she could have defended herself, and that not all encounters have to result in an altercation. It still angers her that her choice was taken away from her and the topic continues to be a sore point for her.

History: The first born daughter of Ajax and Myrtle, Chloe is the twin sister of Finn. She was incredibly tiny and many feared she wouldn’t survive, but she was a fighter. When her brother became ill, she was kept away from him for fear of her becoming sick as well. It was a scary and confusing time for her, as she could feel that her brother was in pain and she wanted to comfort him. Stubbornly, she did all she could to get close to him, causing much stress and panic for the new parents.

Thankfully, it became clear the illness was not contagious, so she was allowed to be with Finn again. During her brother’s illness, Chloe was his constant companion and cheerleader. She felt bad for her sister, Ziva, as the filly desperately wanted to play but Chloe didn’t want to leave Finn out. She was often torn between the two, but for the most part she chose her twin over her sister. This caused a bit of a rift between the two that remains to this day.

Finn was the biggest figure in her life, until she met Bentley. The traumatized colt was found hiding around a pond after he was chased from his herd by a new stallion. A part of her just knew that he needed them, and she made it her mission to help him. Soon, Bentley was brought into the fold with her and her brother, the two colts similar in a lot of ways. The three were great friends, and that only became stronger as they grew up.

As Chloe helped Bentley move on from his past, she began to notice her feelings for him. She tried to express them to him, but he seemed confused and uncertain. At first she worried he was rejecting her, but it slowly became clear that he didn’t feel like he deserved her affections. This nearly broke her heart, but she just doubled down on trying to make him feel worthy of being loved. Eventually, it worked, and he reciprocated.

Chloe expressed her want to leave the herd and start a family of their own. Bentley was hesitant and tried to gently convince her that they should stay in her father’s herd, or join with another. They discussed it at length but couldn’t come to an agreement. She didn’t agree with him that he was incapable of protecting her, and she tried to show him that she could defend herself, but it wasn’t enough to convince him otherwise.

Then, Fletcher reappeared and all her plans fell apart. Unbeknownst to Chloe, her father and Bentley had come to an agreement that, if Ajax won his fight with Fletcher, he and Chloe would go with Fletcher’s herd. Chloe wasn’t made aware of this until her father announced it to Fletcher. She voiced her disapproval of it, but her father ignored her and Bentley’s guilt was clear on his face. She cried to her mother about it, hoping she would be able to change her father’s mind, but instead her mother helped her understand how hard of a decision this was for him and why it was the best solution. As much as she hated it, it made sense - but it didn’t mean she had to like it. It was so painful to leave her pregnant mother, knowing she wouldn’t be there to see her new sibling, and to be separated from her twin brother. In her anger, she didn’t say goodbye to her father, that hurt the both of them and it's something that she regrets to this day.

Fletcher’s herd is so much more tumultuous than her birth herd, though there are very nice herd members among them. For the most part, Chloe stays by Bentley’s side, or when he’s busy she stays with her sister. The two sisters, though almost complete opposites, are starting to get closer. As they are both expecting foals, they are somewhat bonded through this new, exciting and scary experience. Chloe has hope that one day soon she will get that happy ending for her and Bentley where they can be on their own and have their own little family.

Ajax - Father - Chloe always loved and looked up to her father. He helped shape her idea of how a stallion and a leader should act. When she was young, she always loved his jokes and games he’d play with them, though she claims she grew out of them she still enjoyed them. After the deal with Fletcher, their relationship fractured. She feels like her brother and sister got to live life how they wanted, but she wasn’t allowed to. Despite her father always being there for her and empowering her, in that moment he took away her freedom and choice. She’s still struggling to forgive him for that.

Myrtle - Mother - Her ever loving and doting mother, Myrtle made sure to give equal attention to her twins, even with Finn’s sickness. Whenever Chloe needed to talk, she was there to lend an ear and offer support. She encouraged her to confess to Bentley, and assured her that her father would approve of their relationship. Aside from her brother and Bentley, Myrtle has always been Chloe’s rock.

Finn - Twin Brother - As with many twins, their bond is incredibly strong. Finn always tried to protect her, even as a foal. When he was ill, she turned protector, watching over him while their mother got some rest. Since he couldn’t play, they spent their time talking. Though they grew more independent as they got older and found partners of their own, they still spent time each day together. When she had to leave the herd, they were both devastated and felt like a part of their very soul was being ripped out. Despite the distance, Chloe still feels him and his emotions - it can be both a comforting and distressing sensation, as she knows she cannot simply go to him and can only hope he is well.

Bentley - Soulmate - For as broken as he thinks he is, Chloe finds him wonderful. He’s become her world and she would do almost anything to put a smile on his face. He loves her for who she is, and not her looks or an ideal of who she should be. From early on in their relationship, she knew that they would one day be raising a family together.

Ziva - Half-Sister - Despite how close in age they were, the two sisters have struggled to form a strong bond. They were opposites, even as foals. Ziva did have some resentment towards Chloe, and the other foals, as they all favored each other and she was left to her own devices. As they grew older, the sisters were on better terms though still not close. After they joined Fletcher’s herd, Chloe did resent her sister for a short time, but soon she realized it was not Ziva’s fault. They both just wanted to be with the ones they love. They are finally starting to bond during their first pregnancies.

Fletcher - Antagonist - The hate is mutual between Fletcher and Chloe. Fletcher tried and failed to get on Chloe’s good side as a foal, and is annoyed that she is so outspoken against him now. Chloe loathes him, she hates his attitude and the way he treats mares as possessions. More so, she hates the way he treats her love, always trying to provoke the pacifistic stallion into reacting so he would have a reason to kick him out.
