The cat stared down at Alice from it's branch as though it had seen a ghost."Well? What is it? What's wrong?" She asked.
"Your description doesn't fit the March Hare, I don't think he's who you're looking for and if I were you, I would stop looking."
"Well that's unfortunate, I do so wish I could find him."
"Why?"
"Well, I've chased him all my life, and when I finally cornered him, he held up a crystal orb. I looked at it, then I was here."
The cats eyes widened with terror.
"So he has taken notice of you? He's aware of your existence?"
With that the cat faded into nothing, not like backing up into darkness and fading, but literally was unraveled like a knitted sweater with a loose strand that gets pulled until the whole thing is one big piece of yarn rolled up into a ball and rolled away into the distance. All that remained was a malicious grin and two hollow eyes staring at her from the tree for a moment much like a Jack-O-Lantern. And then, darkness........but the faint sound of music coming from the direction of the March Hare's road.

I love the dark feel to this. If a cat that creepy is scared of something then id be too. Then that eary music (i was thinking of something oldish or carnival like) would unnerve me but it would still draw me in. cause face it there is no where else to go.

You know you must be one of the very few people in the entire world I find patience for. I could wait for days and weeks before your next AIW episode and still not suffer any impatient feeling. God even when Stephen King issued the Green Mile and I saw there were going to be six little books for the series and I would have to WAIT between each episode I waited until there were all out so that I could read it all in a row 
I like the atmosphere in that picture, even all by itself it would be such an inspiration, and of course your words add to it. Sometimes I wonder where your talent ends. Then I stop wondering, I don't care, since I'll have my lifetime to discover that, PLUS infinity on top of Mt Olympus, ah!

And I'm glad you're enjoying the story, I'm having fun making it. I really wish I could have presented this the way I wanted to, my main vision for this was to have the image like you see it here, but the face would fade in and out very subtly and this song [link] would have been played in the background. But I couldn't get it to work at this size I wanted. tsk tsk
