Description
Strip seven is here, and because seven was a lucky number to the Ancient Egyptians, I kinda pushed the boat out a little for this one. I also tried to think a little more about composition, so I included a pyramid in the background so that the sloping lines will lead the eye to the main focal points.
The Ancient Egyptians relied upon the River Nile for a lot of things including travel. The special thing about this river is that it flows from South to North (Upper Egypt to Lower Egypt), while the prevailing winds blow from North to South (Lower Egypt to Upper Egypt). This meant that when the Ancient Egyptians wanted to travel upstream, they only had to drop sails and ride the wind, and to move downstream raise sails and coast on the river current.

It's interesting that the Egyptian sails work the opposite of most sail boats, where you raise the sails to catch the wind and drop the sails to put them away.
