Darkwing Duck - The RingmasterI was watching family guy when I decided to just sketch the guy anyway. When drawing the character I wanted to try drawing him in a more DWD style. In her picture, i only saw the neck up, so I took liberties with the costume.

I unfortunately never saw "We're Back: A Dinosaur's Story" until I saw the Nostalgia Critic's review. I personally loved it, it was like "Rock-A-Doodle" in a way where it was kooky, creepy, and obscure, but it was still enjoyable. I know who you are speaking of, that ringmaster character, though I don't remember him too much. Heh here's his photo: Don't you just want to hug him? 
The Ringmaster's influences are actually from characters like Dr. Facilier, The Ringmaster from Dumbo, and believe it or not Luciano Pavarotti. I wanted him to have a booming pressance, that is classy, yet creepy, sophisticated, yet intimidating.
One thing I do want to mention about him is that in his circus, he dresses the theme of whatever act he wants his employees to do. Like that one portrait of him I had, he was dressed in a very dark, Chinese attire, due to his pendant of the ying-yang symbol and his tunic.
Just a little thing I wanted to say. ^^ Don't know if that throws you off on your view of him or not, but just a little something I thought would help a bit as far as the coloring goes.

Yes! Hiiim! Screw Eye! I have that movie on VHs, I used to love it. Yeah, kinda makes no sense...but it's an entertaining movie.
ah, Pavarotti. The opera singer, yes? He had a wonderful voice.
LOL! that's pretty funny, actually...When it came to his color scheme in my head, I was thinking of the Ringmaster from Dumbo. (One of my favorite movies.) and i like the idea of facilier in there. Does he use a lot of illusions in his acts, too?

Yup! That's him.
He does actually! He makes one character see one thing when really it's another thing. It's his way to lure his victims into his trap. I've been toying around with the idea of him being a practioner of the left-handed path (in other words Black Magic) but I don't know if that would would make him an unbalanced character or not, so I'm a bit hesitant about it. So I make him have weaknesses like he can't stand sage, or he goes balistic at the color green because it reminds him of sage or anything that pertains to good luck or weakening bad energy or omens.

Personally, I think you should go with him being mortal but he uses his illusions to trick people. that way once someone like DW can see through the illusions, he can actually be defeated. (Because I find it harder for DW to defeat a magic based villain on his own. he'd have to rely on Morgana to help him.) I do like the idea of him having an outrages trigger though. XD Like the color green frightens him. It's so silly, and very cartoony.

Thank you! I'm glad you like how i drew him. He's really a guy that has his freak on, I'd say. XD I'm debating about coloring it. Just to see if I can enhance the creepiness.

He reminds me of the creepy ringmaster from that "We're Back: A Dinosaur Story" movie. I think that's what it was called, anyway. the guy was...Screw Eye? sounds right.
