I would make the blade less spiky and size it down. Also, I would size the grip UP.

Awesome blade man. I got to ask a few questions. How do they make the blade black exactly???
What are those three triangular rivets near the hilt/guard, and what are they for and what do they do???
Also and this is one I really have to know. At the end of the blade you made it hooked like a fishing hook. Isn't that based of military/special forces knife or something????

The black of the blade is just material mapping from 3ds max. The triangles at the sword base is supposed to be a heavy serrated edge, but it didn't come out right. Still working on that. As far as the hook at the end, it's pretty much based on the fact that it is supposed to hurt more coming out than going in. If you've ever read anything by David Eddings, read up on Ulgo knives.

I would pay $30,000 for this to be made by a professional, and it still wouldn't be enough. More or less that would be one deadly work of art. I'd be proud to say I'd been cut by once.

As this is based on a weapon from a book series I'm working on, I plan on having replicas forged after I hit national bestseller.

yeah, this one came out well, but the new version looks even better. I just recently had to wipe out my HDD, but I'm sure I'll be reinstalling 3DS Max soon anyway and I can bring out the new stuff again.
