in the novel "The Mists os Avalon" (one of my favourite!), Nimue, a sorceress of Avalon, uses magic to atract Kevin, the Bard, Merlin of Britain, and delivers him to Morgaine to be killed. the magic was so powerful that victimized Nimue as well. she dies, lost in her love for the Bard.Nimue is one of the characters that most enchanted me when I first read the book. I wanted to capture her image as I see her - pale and blonde, almost childish, in the agony of her magic love. the blood of Kevin is represented like the red threads that go down with her hair on the stone.

When I first read the book, I think Nimue's part made me cry. The whole book was pretty tragic, but her story was especially depressing.

Great anatomy, and decorative elements. the black and white trees and moon almost have an Audry Beardsly feel, which just adds more to your nuvou-ish flare.
