Tangled, that movie is epicness! I think it's my favourite of all Disney movies, maybe the only exception is Peter Pan xD
Also, this sketch is epicness, too! I tried to do some shading with my sketches, but it just doesn't work well. I envy that a lot C:

I used to use pen sometimes too...mostly when I was in the really boring college classes that made you wonder why it was even important to be there...lol. Pencil is probably easier since you can go back and correct later if you need to, but pen can work too as long as your careful to keep it light.
Usually the thing that helps me the most in my sketches is to start off with something simple like shading flower vases or balls...once you kinda have an idea of what happens with the light when it hits an object you move on to more difficult things like peoples faces or a flower. Also, trying to draw things from photographs or screencaps when they are already shaded gives you some idea of how the light will behave. Then when I start my sketch, I always get the lineart worked out first and then choose the darkest areas to start off with for my shading. I'll use my darkest shade and then gradually get lighter until it gets to the point where it's only the white of the page. And just keep doing that for each area until I am done shading...lol.
Talking about how I shade makes me want to try and do a tutorial about it sometime...so that might become one of my summer projects that I work on...lol.

I've got my diary/agenda totally full of sketches done with pen... Mostly because I get bored during classes and just start drawing unconsciously, and sometimes it's hard to find my homework among all that sketches... lol.
I see what you mean, I'll try to practice like you said, seems like a good idea for getting shades right. Thanks!:3
I'm sure a tutorial would be useful for people around here, like me. I've drawn since I was very young, but I started to shade my sketches just two years ago, more or less, and I have no idea about digital coloring, so, any tutorial can be useful for me xD

Ahaha school steals a whole lot of time! I feel so lucky because our Easter (I'm not sure if it can be called like that, perhaps in English it's called in some other way, I'm Spanish so I can't really tell xD) break starts on Monday, I need to get a lot of sleep and do more drawings xD One whole week for sleeping, drawing and having fun <3 I think holidays are like the most wonderful thing ever done, I draw a lot when I get free time.

Oh wow I love videogames, but I haven't played a lot recently... since I played with some friends I find boring to play alone lol. Hopefully I'll draw a lot so I can finally submit proper things and not the fails I've been submitting before... lol. So you've got a garden? That's nice, I live in a flat so it's impossible for me, but I'd like to have one because I want a cat, and keeping it in a flat wouldn't be the best idea, I think.

Yeah, I still live with my parents for the moment, but they have plenty of space so my mom has a small vegetable garden that we all kind of help tend to, plus we both grow a lot of flowers and plants. I mostly take care of the trees, some of them are just flowering but I also have some fruit trees like apples, peaches, and nectarines for the moment that I am looking after. I want to get more soon, but for now I'll just have to wait.

Oh wow that sounds so nice! I would love to have some fruit trees too, but as I said I live with my parents in a flat so that's pretty imposible for the moment... But I'd love to have my own peaches, I love that fruit. Your garden must be beautiful :3

Yep...I tend to take photographs of it during the summer and I'm off school. Helps me practice my amateur photography skills...lol.
You might could try dwarf trees, I've heard something before about they are made to grow small so people can grow them in apartments and such. They just have to be kept close to windows so they get all the sunlight they need, and watered also unless you take them outside when it rains.
I love growing my own fruit, it's gotten so everything is so expensive these days...and to try to healthy costs even more...so whenever my trees give fruit at least that's one thing that helps. They don't give much yet though since most of them are still kind of young and need more time to grow to really give a lot of fruit. Trying to think of the long term benefits though...lol!

Ahaha I like taking photos but I'm no good at all... lol.
Yes, dwarf trees may be a good idea, I thought about some bonsai trees because they look pretty cute and I'd love giving it whatever shape I'd like, but the thing is getting that my mom buys one for me lol...
I would love having my own fruit, having it would help with the money issue I guess, and I'd enjoy eating it right after collecting it. In summer, when I go to my aunt's house I can collect apples when it's sunny, it's really nice and delicious.
