ππQUEENIEππThis illustration came to me after I researched the Dutch painter Hieronymous Bosch, whose surreal and abstract depictions of Hell and its terrifying denizens have cemented his name in horror art for centuries.
I wanted to depict something akin to his grotesque creations, while pulling my own spin on it. Honestly, I quite literally made up this drawing as I went along. I started it knowing that it included religious imagery and exaggerated proportions, but everything else came from a flow of consciousness.
Horror art in this variety is something I want to explore further down the line!
