This is cute.
Hmm, that is a mystery! Hope the poor things aren't all being eaten, otherwise that's kind of sinister.

great colours! I love how the little one sits on top of the big one. When I saw the thumb I thought it was a 'travelling family'. It fitted right in with the other one showing the 'result' of the past weeks: the little ladybug. I thought you'd been following snails too there

but than I read they were empty

I wonder if you leave em, if the snail would come back, or if another would take over the house? hmm no idea

DannyRoozen In reply to Lou-in-Canada [2010-05-08 18:12:22 +0000 UTC]

Thank you very much

I don't think they return to their homes, Usually they are sealed off from where the snail would have been.

So I think it's their last resting place

Ants eat snails sometimes. In Spain people eat snails, they say that it's delicious. But I hate it. I think they are too much cute for be eaten, and their taste it's disgusting.

Very nice shot!

DannyRoozen In reply to nescalina [2010-05-06 12:49:44 +0000 UTC]

Oh alright, I have never eaten snails.. they don't seem all that tasty to me.

I'd rather use them as my photo models

I was going to caption the photo as "I want to grow up to be just like my daddy" until I read the shells were empty.

Hmm, how about, "House for sale, complete with satellite tv"?

Kengara [2010-05-05 22:03:27 +0000 UTC]

Little do you know, the smaller snail SUCKED OUT the larger one and ate its brains! And then it had to find a new shell cos it got too big.

Just kidding! Probably.
