A design challenge on Core77.com. They give you one hour to draw and render a car, submited on youtube and post the video on the forums. Easy? apparently not cause i missed the deadline by half an hour. Sigh, next time.. next time.Heres the youtube link of the video. Hope you guys like it.

It really did take an hour, theres a clock on the bottom of the screen. Started 3:44 and stopped at 4:35 (ok so under an hour) Ive been practicing just in case something like this came up.
Sketche: 4 minutes
Photoshop CS3: 47 minutes
Probably my cleanest and fastest render ever

did you put your sketch layer on top on multiply with a low opacity?

thnaks cuz im trying to copy this style of rendering at the moment and its taking me way longer than 5 hours to do and stilll not complete. I dunno why though its liek i dont know what to do..
if i do whati've done all the time, where i create everything on different layers.. i unno..
i dunno how you are able to layer so many glosses on the rims, when i do it it looks so ugly...

its really all about opacity control and using the eraser really well. Though Ive been told this a slow way of doing it but im using a mouse and it is hard to mimic a tablets smooth flowing line with a mouse.

My thought initially was that since ive pushed the wheels further apart from each other it would make it look sleeker lower and faster. Just like the way BMW has the short front over hang. thanks for the compliments
