I like this one a lot, the use of the colors, the raw action behind the strokes. Very cool.

And you do it so well... you've captured a huge sense of warmth and vastness in this.

That's interesting - I thought of a heart before I even read the title. It is surreal all right, with a red sea and that tree that looks like it's exploding. Very original composition, and nicely done. I like the depth you added to it with the distant mountains too.

I love watercolor! Itβs so hard to work with at first, but once you get a feel for it, the medium is fabulous to work with!
This looks like an old, oriental style paintingβI love how long it is and the tree in dead center. The pale background, I think, really helps the viewer cue in on that vivid red treeβit has so much detail to look at!
I would not have changed a thing in thisβwell done!

Very interesting. I know it takes a while to get use to water color. I know it did for me, but I'd suggest you add in more contrast and it'd be quite a site to look at. For contrast all I do is start out with light colors as my background. Then work up to medium, then finally ad on dark colors. That's kind of what I do and it works well for me.

this is gorgeous!! i love that big splash of color that totally grabbed my attention. watercolors (at least for me) are pretty difficult to work with, but it looks like you had a lot of control in this painting. bravo!
