It would not be appropriate for me to upload an image of this airplane without at least mentioning the tragic events that took place four years ago this very month. On August 22nd of 2015, this very Hawker Huner was perfoming at the Shoreham Airshow in West Sussex, when it failed to recover from a looping maneuver. The aircraft impacted onto a busy road adjacent to the airfield, hitting several cars. Though miraculously, the aircraft's pilot Andy Hill survived the accident. Tragically eleven lives were lost on the ground that day. It is an accident that has left indelible scars on the UK airshow scene and will linger long in the memories of all those who witnessed the accident, of which sadly I am among that number.

Though it is of course impossible for me to look at this aeroplane and not be taken back to that day. I would like to remember her as the beautiful machine that she was, an aircraft that had been entertaining the public for a very long time. So I upload this image as a reminder of that fact and to think of her in better days.
