Beautiful, the fact that Railway Empire doesn't have this is a crime.

Not as gorgeous as she'd look out on the line pulling a train.
I like museums but I also prefer them when they are prepared to start going through the collection and getting them running at some point.
Before anyone goes down the BS road of originality well just look at this loco. Built as a streamliner originally, then rebuilt for the ease of maintenance. It was then put back with its cover on. Machines were built to work, their parts were swapped many a time during their working lives. What we have preserved is the vision of what they generally looked like.
But there is no sound, no smell, you don't feel the heat from them and you get the impression of style and size but not of the power, not fully.
No matter the size of the machine, running, it gives off that last element, movement but it wraps all your senses together in one go. Sight, sound, smell, heat (touch but without quite touching the hot parts!) and taste.
This is a stunning shot, the light in the building has complimented its curves, and what curves they are. I love your photography Daniel.

Preferred her 'unfrocked' but this is a nice shot of her.
