Description While on a solo expedition during his time studying at Xianjing, sixteen year-old Tiberius Contral has a close encounter of the 'oh shit' variety in the Kejerani wilderness.

When Contral came to Xianjing, he was given the Keiyu name Xiaohu (小虎)--little tiger--because his nickname, Tiber, sounded to them like 'tiger,' and he was a fierce, proud loner. It was also a teasing name, as he was at the time a spoiled, angry, arrogant young man--a bratty little cub who thought he was a great wizard. His teachers sent him off on a solo quest hoping that some time alone in the wilderness would humble him and tame him into something they could teach. When they heard he had encountered his namesake--who allowed him to climb up the ledge, then lay down and watched him for more than an hour while Tiber sat and anxiously, helplessly stared back at him--they thought the meeting very significant.

Tiger reffed from my own photos of Siberian tigers I saw at the Harbin Siberian Tiger Park, Heilongjiang, China brag brag brag. By the way, the title is a little Chinese wordplay--tigers (hu 虎) are often called laohu, the lao (老,old) sort of indicating respect, since tigers are so badass. Xiao means 'small/young' and can be used in names kind of like -chan is in Japanese. So basically...Little Tiger and Big Tiger

I go through so many emotions doing pictures like this that take days and days of work. I start off feeling cynical, then get excited at the picture's potential, halfway through I think it might be one of the best things I've ever done, and by the time I'm done, I hate it. Not sure how I feel now and definitely not sure why I thought PINK was the way to go for his clothing, ackk.

I can't tell you what my favourite part of this is, it's all amazing!
But I do like like the expression on the guy's face and I love the colours and the stormy sky.

I like pictures with stories behind them. the illustrative quality of art is probably my favorite aspect of the medium. Poor Contral. He's lucky that tiger was more curious than hungry

I will tell you what is that pink cloth doing there... it's in synchro with pink flowers on the upper right side and it also makes friends with brownish tones on the rock cliff. Trouble maker in this picture is the tiger-colored tiger, and what his fur thinks is: "Heeey, I am here the boss here and I take color focus, raaawr! Go and redress in comething manly, kiddo!"
Imagine how it would look like if say the tiger would be white, or if Contral decided to take on something red - completly different story.

Just kidding, I like it. I promise not to make comments in 7AM next time :3
