My second time drawing on bristol, and let me tell you, I think I'm in love. This stuff is inde-freaking-structible. You can put all the ink you want on it and it won't warp. It soaks it up, too. No smears with bistol.Oh right, the picture... the Fowl busts a cap on someone, and I think it's looks pretty fine as far as Dan art goes. 8/10 on the Eisnometer.
I took the title from the lyrics of a Foo Fighters song that happened to be playing.

This is superb. The Fowl appears to be so statuesque. It give "pillar of justice" a whole new meaning. I think the way you've chosen to draw his cloak/cape: making it slightly more angular, as opposed to loose and flowing. I love it, actually. It makes the shroud seem a lot more functional and (this is probably just me) almost poncho like.

The cape is a very versatile costume element which is too often underutilized. It can we a leathery wingspan, an etherial, floating cloud, or (as you so well put it) a gunslinger's poncho. Your spot-on observations are seemingly without bottom.

People like the cape a lot. I should forget all this figure drawing nonsense and just do capes from now on.

Lookin' good, man- the draping of the capr is great.
I gotta tell ya though- check the proportions on the legs, they're a little long for the build and the small head. Either bump up the head size and lengthen the torso or decrease the overall size of the legs ALOT and the torso a little

Actually, I think the legs are pretty okay. The light patch on the chest might make the torso seem smaller, but if you look at the belt line... well, like I say, I think they're good as is.
You are right about the head, though. On the first try it was way too big, so I guess I overcompensated.

Thanks, my suicidal friend. Capes are tricky little twerps... I need to practice them all the time, or else I get sloppy and they look like utter shite. If they didn't make it so much easier to cut corners, I wouldn't even bother. But they do, so I do. Such is life.
