Description This is a quote by DCTalk, in the beginning of their song, "What if I Stumble". It's so true. I see it a lot on here to. Many people on here say they're Christians, then start swearing their heads off or half their favorites, are rather innapropriate. Check yourself, Christians. Others are watching.

Hm, sure, Christians need to take care. Somebody else said: Lifestyle is the last Bible that the unbelieving world reads.
And a genuin community can be really effective.

This quote actually came from a man named Brennan Manning, not DC Talk. But the message is the same: actions do speak louder than words.

Also, "What If I Stumble?" is an amazing song

hmmm. I am a Catholic and I have to say I don't think swearing is necessarily the cause of Atheism. I'm really not trying to be that annoying person who wants to start arguments or anything like that. I just disagree somewhat. I think the true cause of Atheism is the desire to be the god in your life, the being that decides what's okay and what's not. It's the same choice the devil had before he was cast into hell. It's the decision that everyone has to make. Am I going to do God's will and surrender my pride, or am I going to do it my way? I do however agree that it is Christians, Catholics included, that are supporting even the weakest Atheist arguments through our actions or lack thereof even if they are not the root cause of Atheism. The term Christian is used so much and so regularly that it's lost its meaning. A Christian is now a "good person" with no basis of what the "good" is. "Christians" often don't go to Mass (or services for the Protestant denominations) and do not act as God would have them act, out of love and compassion. I'm ashamed to say it. And I honestly don't mind if someone is Catholic or Lutheran or Church of the Holy Bible. I just care that whatever you are you stick to your guns. Jesus himself said that he would rather us be Hot or Cold, but the luke warm he shall spit out.

So in short, I agree with the quote, not so much your swearing bit. But I do agree that if you (meaning people who do this) are going to call yourself Christian or Catholic, actually BE Christian or Catholic because you're giving those of us who actually care a bad name.

Yes I agree. There are many different reasons for Atheism. The one I'm talking about here is Christians who run their mouths and act quite inappropriatly, then say they're Christians. There are many actual Christians who act like that. Also many people say they're Christians, who are not. If I were an Atheist or non-believer, and saw Christians swearing and cussing like an everyday person, I wouldn't want to be like them at all. God said we are a peculiar people. We're supposed to stand out, in a good way, and make people want to be like us. I agree with basically everything you said there
