Description Medium-weight white rough paper,4H 2H Derwent pencis, nib and black waterproof ink, watercolours, acrilic, coloured drawing pens,Tombo markers, vynilic glue, glitters(now I really have the proof my scanner can't catch glitters!), Derwent coloured pencils and a good dose of anime!

It's finally here, another piece I was tired of seeing on my desk undone...not just laziness, didn't have much time...
I tried to be closer to Mucha's style this time, in the first Bleacha I wanted to try and leave the artline slim: I have learnt my lesson. But I also wanted to have different details closer to the character.
Clearly inspired by Mucha's "Art:the Dance" [link] , again do not compare that to mine But still I hope I have improved from my last Bleacha...

A huge thanks goes to who supported me during the making of this piece, using her fierce dragoness skills to beat my art block to death

I like pink colour too, but I think there was too much in this one XD I had to keep it to be loyal to the original and yes, also because it suited Orihime well.Thank you

You might need to work on making the head/face a little larger for proportion, but apart from that IT'S GORGEOUS.

Now that I have seen it is possible to imitate Mucha~~
I want to draw some immediately ^_^
The fabric is swirled beautifully, and you've got great control of colour.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Daiquiriglass In reply to Alliriyan [2010-01-17 18:21:23 +0000 UTC]

Proportion is the same as the original work, not really manga-like, and if I had to work on something it'd be everything-.-'
You just search for "mucha" here and you'll see how many wonderful works you can find^_^
Fabric's taken from the original work, too, that "beautifully" goes to Mucha, then, hehe!Yep, he was a true master on that...

I'm a huge fan of the art nouveau style (and anime, of course), and I rarely see the two well combined.
Anyways, everything is the fantastic: the lineart, coloring, and design.

Oh my...last time I looked at your page you had zero deviations and now...this
How can I even begin to tell you how much I love this amazing piece of art?
It's really absolutely gorgeous, perspective, design, colouring, everything is sooooo beautiful
You are a very talented artist and I'm looking forward to see you improve even more in the future because...I'm watching you now so keep the amazing art comming
Also this work is a must fave

Last time must have been 3 or 4 months ago when I had no idea on how dA worked...
Thank you so much for your appreciation
I am not that talented, though so expect epic fails too
Thanks for the watch and the fave

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

HanaArashiSign In reply to Daiquiriglass [2009-04-26 23:28:52 +0000 UTC]

Yep, must have been the very end of December or beginning of January when I joined dA and you were the one who first commented on one of my deviations, which is why I remember you so well. Ah, the good old times
Hm, I'm not that talented myself but I believe I can spot talent if I see it and you dearie are definitely talented, be told!
I especially envy your ability to ink your art, something I could never get the hang of Inspired by some of the amazing art I saw on dA I had another go only a few days back but nothing's changed, epic fail
Watching you will be my pleasure, potential fails included (not that I think there'll be any )

Oh, yes.It was "Rukia explaining Christmas"... but I had to go check it.I see you have many other interesting pieces in there.Trust me, you grew up too.
Inking? The only "100% ink" pieces I have done is "Timeless bounds..." and the "Art Trade" series, in which I didn't really use much of it and didn't use it well either
Thank you ^_^

HanaArashiSign In reply to Daiquiriglass [2009-04-27 22:25:28 +0000 UTC]

Now it's my turn to thank you , I did my best and it is amazing what you can do if you just practise regularly but still...not enough *sighs and wishes she had more time to practise*
The "Rukia explains..." series yes I've so far not managed to make the next episode, one of my many pending projects
About the ink, I just love the way you can draw all the little details with it so neat and clean, that's very good. And then of course your use of watercolours, soooo good, I just love those translucent effects you can create with them (something I fail at even more than the ink...might be a different story though once I've figured out the watercolour brushes in Photoshop or SAI, there's still hope )
