Hey, you really shouldn't be doing this. You're lucky that you got caught now rather than later on down the line in terms of professionalism.
I'm telling you right now, there are people that are far less forgiving about this than others. Luckily I'm not too terribly upset because this was a really old piece and it seems you have had it up for a long time already so I know no one will do anything about it at this point.
Listen, tracing is a really great tool for learning and should be for private use only and not to be published online. What you seek to gain from this is not going to last. Have you ever read the horror stories about people using others work in their portfolios in the creative industry? They come down hard. It closes a lot of doors. You could get fined thousands of dollars because it's illegal. Don't do that to yourself, you can do better than that.
Please don't trace ANY art, just cause it's posted online doesn't mean you have the right to use it and trace other people's work and claim it for your own. It's ok to reference, but it's obvious when you trace something and makes you look like a big jerk. Don't trace, ok?
