Inktober #25 - DANGEROUS -

The path the little adventuring group took began to get steeper and steeper with every bit.
They now truly seemed to enter the mountain region that was always looming in the distance.

Both Wiwi and Jack were breathing heavily.
"Soo... huff, huff... what did the pumpkin say again, what is the next thing we need to look out for?", Jack asked.
Wiwi stopped and tried to catch her breath.
"Something... haaa... about a cliff, I think!"
Jack stared at her.
"A cliff?!"

And soon enough after they continued following the path it led to the only possible way forward - a small pathway with a looming abyss next to it, going straight down and giving way to a tiny looking forest down below.
The little witch and the little pirate stood in front of where the pathway began, unsure if to really follow that clearly very dangerous path.
Twinkle jingled on her hat. "It's this way. We have to go this way. Be careful!"

With very careful and slow steps Wiwi and Jack crawled along the edge of the pathway.
They tried to find halt anywhere on the stone wall behind them, when suddenly -
A powerful gust of wind blew over the both of them and Wiwi, still holding onto her broom, lost her balance and tumbled on the edge.
"Wowow, careful!!", Jack exclaimed and grabbed her by the arm.

The little pirate managed to stop the little witch from falling - but sadly not her broom.
With dismay Wiwi had to see the thoughtful gift her teacher gave her vanish into the abyss below.

Wiwi scrambled and tried to find a hold on the wall behind her again, still looking down in disbelief and with a certain sadness in her eyes.
"Wiwi!", Jack said loudly and with that drawing her attention back to their current situation.
"Come on, let's go. Careful!"

And so, the adventuring group continued on the pathway -
and towards another ominous looking cave in the distance.

A seemingly dead end on this dangerous path.
