LOL, mine wasn't black an purple. I just sometimes question because I've seen a lot of stuff that looks similar to my stuff thats about 10 years old, such as some Yu-Gi-OH! fantasy characters that really, realy are like fan-fiction. I can channel different artist and writers so well that when I think of elements and storytelling that I've thought of in my fan-fiction. It kind of scares me, that it sounds like something they will write or that's what colour palette they would use(Every if I have not seen their original art).
