Much isn’t known about his origins only that as far as he is aware he was born on Korriban to slaves or lesser subjects of the sith empire. As his name suggests he’s enigmatic, he never allows anyone to know him beyond a certain extent. Most were always wary of him for he was more ruthless than most sith, most didn’t know the extent of his raw power but some could sense it. The few that could sense his power were frightened by him if his skill in sith magic and alchemy and the creatures and objects he created with it didn’t already make others cautious of him. At a time he’s only taken 5 apprentices and weeds them out over time till only one remains many were crushed by him when they tried to kill him and take his power so far no one, not his apprentices or rivals have succeeded. Before he takes on any new students he demands a sacrifice out of them in the form of three vials, these he instructs them to fill with blood. One vial of their own blood, one from someone they hate and one from someone they love, once they did this he accepted them.

Trivia:
Obscura is gifted in the force especially in sith alchemy and force lightning.

His force lightning is crimson in color.

His adoptive father/master was a sith pureblood who taught brought him up in the ways of the sith.

Has a pet Tuk'ata that has been heavily augmented and changed via his magic making it a far more deadlier beast then most of its kin.

Has an identical twin brother whose a Jedi, both were separated at birth, one was found by the Jedi and Obscura was unfortunately lost and left to be claimed by the dark side. Both have fought each other many times and more then once has his brother tried to turn him away from the dark but to no avail. They’re both equal in terms of combat but his light sided sibling comes up short when compared to his dark brothers force ability. His brother shouldn’t be mistaken for a weakling, as a Jedi Knight he has considerable power in the force.

Darth Obscura supposedly had the peripheral eye of the Sith emperor, more than once did he and the Emperor meet in private whenever he was present. What they spoke of in these long discussions is anyone’s guess.
