I like black ice and storm shadow the latter because I like the hilt the former is for its blade.

When you draw these, do you usually have a plan in mind of what they're generally going to look like, or do kind of just make it up as you go?

Before I start I use the essence or realm that the sword set belongs to as a basis. For example fire or water etc~! I do not know exactly how the sword will come out so I basically won't finish one until I feel it looks good enough Xp~! Thanks for your comment!

All of these are awesome (especially frostbite) except you should take all the time that it takes to make these swords and spend that on making one super awesome sword. Also something that needs improvement on some of the swords (mainly the frost blades) is the hilt and handles. Last critique, the Mariah's hilt has upside down wolves, depending on which way you hold a sword which is up.

I don't lol. I just make them as I go (good exercise) and don't finish one until it looks good enough. Some of them I have a pretty good idea of what I want. For some reason it's the ones that I don't spend much time on that I end up liking the most ~_^!

Crazy! I used to do sword designs for a game I played, much more minimalistic than yours, and always liked the ones quickest to 'flash' but hardest to design/draw on paper >.<

Well..you try using the pen tool in photoshop? Tis what I use to draw swords.

I rather drew on paper, scanned them in and used Macromedia Flash 8 to outline and shade them.
But this is on photoshop?
I still need to learn that...
