Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, Denver, Colorado, USA, Feb. 2014About 60 square kilometers of former brownfield, extremely polluted after years of chemical weapons production and then dismantling, followed by petroleum and pesticides production, was cleaned at the total cost of $2.1 billion.
