Something I felt compelled to do after receiving a question about these two in my Discord server. I've been long meaning to update the idea for these old characters in the above link, more specifically the Fox, as a lot of the ideas I originally had in mind for her origin don't really align with my current direction with Expanse. Much of Dingo's origin remains the same, however.

The idea behind Dingo is that he's of course this universe's version of Dingo from Sonic Underground, and here he's an artificially created bio-robot that has the power to shape-shift at the command of a remote control, much like Dingo's transformations in Underground. But he is also merged with the idea of the D.U.F.U.S. robot from AoStH, also a shape-shifting machine, and the two are considered one in the same.

The idea for the origin inspiration for Fox has completely altered since the designs from a few years ago, she was originally going to be this universe's version of Fiona Fox, but this will no longer be the case. So instead, the Fox Unit is now the Ursa Unit, and she is entirely based on Metamorphia from the Fleetway universe. Just like Dingo, she is also a shape-shifting machine, however unlike Dingo that requires manual control, Ursa is more advanced and can do so at will. That being said, she can be prone to bouts of insanity, which requires the use of emotional suppressant to keep her in line.

They are created through a collaborative effort between Dr. Quark and Dr. Wormtongue, who are enlisted as part of a research team in the AMS-Division of the G.U.N, situated in secret on Prison Island, and are later placed in a team with Shadow as "Neo Team Dark" when he is forcefully transferred into this division.
