A reimagining of the Mantis Creature of Vulture's Claw...The Plantis
Deep within the Greer Botanical Gardens, lives a monstrous bug that resembles a giant praying mantis with plant-like features. It stands 10 feet in height, has a leaf-like exoskeleton that camouflages with the garden plants, glowing eyes to see at night, and giant flytraps for claws. Anyone who trespasses or violates the garden better watch out or they will become dinner.

In my version of the mystery, Plantis is really Vanellope Bailey, An eco-activist who just wants to keep the Forest safe. Her motive would be for a good cause, making her reformed.
