Description This is a redux of my entry for 's "Color my Stuff" contest.

I tried reworking my original image [link] so it would be "brighter" and more comic book-like.

Photoshop has so many tools that one can get lost, or get stuck doing stuff "the same ol' way" all the time.

Right now, Adjustment layers are my new hotness! Props to , Bert Monroy, et al for the pointers

Colors by yours truly.
6 hours in PS CS2.

I like the placement of the highlights on her. Great move on the cityscape. Looks like it's a cloudy night!

i love this. you stole my version of her outfit tho, so i'm gonna have to think of a way to work it, but nice idea for the cityscape in the background. but shouldn't the lighting be on the front of her instead of the back? i'm still learning so it's just a question not a critique.

I don't mind crit...

Good question.

It is a matter of composition, The background's Blue/Violet (cool colored) and so is the costume.

Good composition/color theory-blah, blah-blah says that there should be something warm-colored (reds and yellows) to give the picture contrast. It makes her "pop out" of the image.

Although, this image is me goofing off so the city lights are all screwed up.

The original [link] has more normal lighting.

I think I like the brighter one better.

I figured that you (and others) might.

While I working on it, I was having a tough time making the lighting realistic but still have the picture make sense (or even be visible! XD).

But after I was done started messing around with filters and viola!

I prefer the other one, ...this doesn't feel like Gotham City with so much light.
