Dude, that description. It was so in-depth, it's not even funny. Like, holy hell. So deep, very powerful. /endsarcasm
I can't remember if I commented on this or not, but even if I did, I'll do so again. I like the concept behind this a lot. I can't quite describe just what I like about it, because I can't really put it into words. Forgive how cheesy and soppy this might sound, but it's like you chose to portray the beauty of the fox in many ways, perhaps hinting that your fondness for the creature isn't just skin-deep. You drew the muscular system and the skeletal structure of the fox to be Β just as beautiful as the final form, yet you still managed to pull off an almost haunting nature for the first two, what with how the muscular system seems to sit in a silhouette of the fox. The silhouette isn't too dark or distracting though, just dark enough so the pinks and blues have that distinctive pop; and adding the blood dripping down the skeleton and the fleshy sinews, or whatever they're called, still attached to the bone was definitely a nice touch. Really awesome job, Culpeo. ^w^
And your use of traditional media makes me jealous as always; every time I attempt to use coloured pencils for anything other than just filling in single colours, it ends up getting messy and stuff, and blending is a lost cause for me; that's why I stick with digital media. Seeing things like this though really make me reconsider my forced disinterest towards traditional though...
...Jeez that was long-winded. Hope you're not too uncomfortable with my praise. I'm not usually one to write such extensive, saccharine-laced praise, but you definitely deserve it. The only thing I could point out having a distaste for is the white background [grah, so plain! D:], but then again, I can't think of anything you could do with the background....unless, of course, this just started out as a casual doodle, or is just concept art- wait. Forget what I said about the background. I just realised that you put this in the Conceptual Category. Anyway though, stay awesome. I always love seeing your work. Somehow, you manage to continue drawing foxes over and over again, yet each piece is unique enough that it doesn't get old. ....Not that I'm saying that I ONLY like your fox artwork, your photography skills are pretty amazing as well. ^^
Oh, one more thing: I saw someone ask this below, and it really got me thinking: I can't quite remember if you mentioned the reason for your fixation on foxes in your art, but I'd certainly like to hear it, if you don't mind sharing. :3

Unbequem irgendwie.
