If you're from California, you've heard about the historic drought that we are experiencing. This kind of puts things into perspective, at least for me it did. To be able to stand where there was once water that would have been feet above my head is humbling and terrifying. You can see the water lines on those rocks of where the water used to be. Now there is so little water in that area that Barker Dam in Joshua Tree is now pointless. There isn't even enough water there to dam.
