The Khudani have been at this spacefaring thing for as long as the galaxy has known them, and on a budget no less, sustaining themselves and their ships on whatever scraps they come across. So it's safe to say they know what they're doing when it comes to shipbuilding. Looking at the average Khudani clanship, though, you start to have your doubts. These hulking amalgamations of scrap metal and salvaged ship parts, cobbled together with welds and tape and prayers, are practically mobile cities, inhabited and crewed by what's essentially one big, extended family. And as that family grows, so does the ship, with bits getting slapped on to accommodate a growing population and to keep the ship itself running. When visiting the clanship Haghran, the hangar we docked in turned out to be a privately-owned business. Same with the old lady and her granddaughter selling replacement parts, the market where we picked up the rations to last us through the rest of our trip, and the casino where we made double our wage by betting on a knife-fighting match. The ships are ugly on the outside, and cramped and dirty inside, but something about them just feels like home, you know?
