I love songs about the ocean and I love the sea. Feelings of water are interwoven in a lot of my personal work, it touches all parts of how I understand the world. Sometimes the ocean is peace, sometimes it is overwhelming, and sometimes both at once?

Oh, this is lovely! They way you've rendered the water reminds me of oil, and what looks like concern on some of the gulls' faces further enhances the feeling of adversity. Yet the limited colour palette connects the birds to the bright sky beyond--very evocative!
