This month of October I will try to make an illustration a day that is inspired by Halloween. This is for day number 8!I wanted to do a piece that represented all those classic moments in the old monster horror flicks when it cuts to the mummy or vampire or what ever, and it shows them making this face. The face that stops women dead in their tracks. The face that strikes fear into the heart of men. The face that looks a little ridiculous and slightly constipated. The face of the devil himself!
They always have the dramatic light beam across their eyes and everything is slightly bloomed and out of focus. It's fantastic! Blue Steel aint got nothing on this look!
This took about an hour to an hour and a half to do. I drew it with pencil, then used photoshop to tweak a few things and try to make the scan of the image not look like a complete suck-fest. But there are parts that still do look like it...
