this is how I normally draw myself, starting to develop a style a bit more here-

Basic info about their abilities, most of the time they're slightly in between. They can only partially control it, can easily transform between form and back, but sometimes their emotions get the best of them. During the most extreme depression, they'll undergo a full transformation and cannot transform back until calm. They're not violent during these times, they simply cannot control their form. They're the same person as they were before, just a stupid lookin shadow dragon instead. Fun shit.

Like mentioned above, they can easily switch to in between forms and their complete form, ex. sprout wings and fly somewhere or their claws to open a package or some shit. They're not a very violent person, they'd rather only use their deadly shit for self defense. They're not extremely powerful either, only halfway above average.
