Description “Look, in the Axiom’s computer I’ve seen pictures of human mothers carrying a kid in each arm… and students carrying backpacks larger than them. I need a free arm for the gun, but you turrets are only slightly heavier than a kid and surely less heavy than a monster backpack full of books. Maybe I won’t be able to carry all of you… but I’ll carry all those I can.”

A picture for my dear friend . He knows why

It's a scene that takes place after a RP thread (sadly never finished) of the WALL-E Forum (www.walleforum.com), in which some of our OCs are transported by evil Vida Moretti ([link] ) in the Portal/Half-Life universe, as Aperture Science experimental subjects. My alter-ego Cristina di Ventimiglia, former member of the GDA ([link] ) and robots rights activist, is moved to pity by the turrets (who must shoot experimental subjects before they can be shot in return) and, regardless of the danger, takes one of them (by the name of 84) with her, protecting the robot fiercely as a mother would protect her child. And she explains to 84 that she wants to take as many turrets as possible out of Aperture Science, with the quote from above here. With the help of the great Gordon Freeman, Cri and 84 are rescued from some Hunters and, after some adventures - if the thread had continued - they'd have caught up with the rest of the group (the BRL-A twins HARLEY and QUIN, Rex the son of Marina and Commander Blacklight, Sergey Dementiev and Sybille Rochefort of the Riptide, Hortencia Gutierrez of the Quasar as well as Buddy Forthright, who worked for White Enterprises at the time). To make a long story short; Cristina (obviously) takes 84 home and the turret is upgraded with an AAWF body like those used by Autopilots in the RPverse (like Clark [link] and Mother Nature [link] ). And this scene takes place just as the android body of 84 is being assembled; it's nearing twilight, and Cri and 84, after that impossibly long day, think back about everything they have been through with the certainty that their friendship has overcome all difficulties.

84: Safe... free. Thank you... friend.

That's just... beautiful. :'D 84 is adorable... free at last from GLaDOS's clutches, to finally have a life of his own. You've captured the mood perfectly.

I love the pics of Gordon and GLaDOS in the background, too; showing her memories. You know, I think she and Gordon would have got along pretty well, had they had more of a chance to know each other.

And yeah... I do know why. Thanks for helping me back then. :')

I'm so glad you like it! :hugs: And you're right about 84, all its lines in the RP had me aww Glad you like the mood of the picture, I thought it would be quite fitting - night falls, and with it ends the life of slavery and danger that 84 knew until that moment :')

Funny you'd say that she and Gordon would have got along well - I imagined, drawing the pic, that she could very well be saying something along the lines of "We owe it to that anticizen fellow if we're alive. Wherever he might be now," *salutes GDA-salute* "it's been a honor fighting alongside him."

And you're welcome I only wish I could have finished it by then. But I'm glad I could help anyhow, if only in words.
