I'm actually a fan of her, much more in OotS than in PoT because she didn't over-obsess with the warrior code anymore.
She's really... interesting character, she needed belonging to somewhere more than anything, and then didn't belong to a Clan as she wanted to so much, neither fully WindClan nor fully ThunderClan.
Then she didn't even belong to her brothers anymore because they were special, and with great destiny and she was nothing.
I at least understand WHY she went insane.
She has potential, and Erin Hunter could have taken so much of her character in OotS, sad though.
Holly try a smaller dose next time, will you?

She had a reason, you know. She went bonkers from being told so many lies, and just killed him. She felt awful about it in Hollyleaf's Story. And btw, it's Bramblestar now.

Hollyleaf is an amazing, developed, interesting character. She has both the potential for great good and great evil.
SPOILER: In TFW, Hollyleaf is much more relaxed and genuinely has matured greatly. You'll know exactly how she really feels in Hollyleaf's Story. ^^
