Description
Attempts at some sort of constructive/gestural drawing (not what I should be doing but I wanted to test my new tablet). As you can see, I'm lacking the confidence and clarity in my strokes. And most importantly, I can only draw like that when copying a reference one to one. When drawing from my head, I'm barely able to draw anything, not to mention human body in various poses, I also know very little about anatomy. I have a very poor visual imagination (almost an aphantasia). Seriously, my drawings from imagination could be succesfully used as emetics.
That's why I'm learning from the very basics now. I want to train my muscles, I want to understand the structures, understand the anatomy and light, so that I can "construct" my drawings instead of imagining them. Glen Kean could do that. I believe I can too.
So yeah, there will be no more bodies. For now. I ought to gain control over my lines, get to understand the perspective, learn to freely draw any cube or any cylinder from any angle. Only then I will try to study simple anatomy and start to construct mannequins from imagination. And it might take a while.
