I do agree with what they believe: comic sans is not such a bad font, it's just a matter of how you put it in to your artwork. So, i tried to prove it, and this is the result, 99.9% using comic sans typeface of overall Design. Hope you guys like it.for more into this project u can check this out [link] or [link]

I agree -- a lot of okay, and good, fonts are over-used and people get sick of them. (kind of like when an indie band gets big, I suppose). Love the colors and softness to the design

I used Comic Sans for everything I did in 4th grade.

I think the point here is that it takes creativity of your level to save a font like Comic Sans.
But I really think Comic Sans is just something that shouldn't be used as is, that's all. It really begs for someone's personal and patient intervention... as with many fonts that normally aren't appealing as body text.
