Every single person goes through their own unique journey and their own battles. Mental Health barriers are some of the challenges we face in this life that can often be so hard that we lose the fight. So many people living with mental health complications feel desperately alone.

This self portrait is hopefully the start of a huge collaborative project for people around the world to add to, with the hopes to extend the picture into something to let everyone who looks at it know that they are not alone. You’re not stupid. You’re not over reacting. You’re not ugly. You’re not worthless. Even though we don’t know each other, we’re united together in our struggles with understanding and strength. You’re loved and you’re beautiful.

Like a chain letter using imagery of any kind, (be it drawing, painting, collage, typography, photography etc) I’d like to ask artists at any skill level to add to this image with a self portrait of their own, or anything that conveys the message of who you are, how far you’ve come, your struggles, your dreams, anything at all.

You can extend the image in any direction, it doesn’t have to be linear. After all, mental health can be unpredictable too.

Let’s see how big we can make it. If anyone takes on the challenge, please please link me to your work. I’d love to see it. Also don't forget to add your signature to the picture!
