Description

Uh, yeah. I've decided to finally post this character's design for once since he's the main protagonist in my upcoming comic "The Revenant's Flame". His name is Asahi "Ventus" Suzuki, but many call him by the name of "Ven". I don't know why this literally took TWO WHOLE YEARS for me to finalize (hopefully) his design.

Nicknames: Ven, Venny, Ven-Ven, and babe/honey (by Minu)

Age: 18

Birthday: January 1st

Species/race: Human

Code color(s): Turquoise and apple red

PERSONALITY

General personality: Ven has been described by many of the Rebels to be a kind and gentle soul. He never lets anyone be left behind and he always tries to make anyone smile. He shows his compassion through his actions such as helping others in need and doing things for others. When someone needs to talk with him or have a serious conversation, Ven is willing to let them speak and listen. Ven always speaks his mind honestly and he isn’t afraid to speak. He’s very energetic and always shows his curiosity in things he doesn’t know. He’s very passionate and strives to live in order to fight for others. In some cases, despite him having tolerance for others, he can get irritated easily and fired up. Described by Minu in battle, he doesn’t hold back his fighting spirit but hates killing. He uses tactical and strategic moves in order to get through his enemies. After the fight, he even shows some sympathy towards the enemy. Even his own kind heart is able to make his own enemies change their evil ways. He shows great determination in him such as when he tries to get closer to Minu over the years and even when fighting as well.

Talents: Superhuman stamina, speed, agility, and endurance; enhanced senses. Can feel and sense how a person feels emotionally.

Hobbies: Training, exploring, hanging out with the rebels, and helping others

Likes: Hot springs, the beach, food, helping others, and nature

Dislikes: Killing, anyone being left behind, and seeing others sad

APPEARANCE

Facial description: He has soft features. He has turquoise blue eyes.

Hair: Messy, unruly light brown hair with white streak. Braid on the right side with red hair accessory. Stubborn ahoge hair.

Skin: Slightly tan

Height: 5’6’’ (171 cm)

Outfit: Black spandex crop top and leggings. Black arm and leg armor. Short red robe and white yukata. Red obi and black sash with a white obijime. Turquoise and white cloud patterned haori. White tabi with brown sandals.

Extras: Black fingernails. Has an earring on the right side. Sometimes wears a brown belt that carries the scabbard of his katana. Wears a red ribbon around his neck with a golden sun emblem with an opal (always wears this).

STATUS (COMBAT)

Weapon: The Everlasting Sun (katana)

Powers/abilities: Elemental pyrokinesis, Flame of Purification. Noticeable superhuman agility, stamina, and reflexes.

Moves/skillset: He mostly majors in using martial artes: physical attacks. He sometimes uses casting artes, only using it when necessary. His most significant moveset is a legendary arte, named Crown of Flames. An attack that is circular like a crown and leaves behind a trial of flames.

Mother: Yuhiko Suzuki (deceased)

Father: Yoru Suzuki (unknown status)

Siblings: Shinya Suzuki (deceased younger brother), Yugure Suzuki (unknown status, younger brother), Nikko Suzuki (deceased younger sister), and Hareta Suzuki (deceased, younger sister)

Enemies: Minu’s brothers, Cain, Adam and Eve, and the allies of Minu’s brothers

Artist’s comment: Ven was once based off of Phosphophyllite from Land of the Lustrous, by personality. Phos’ personality was once a spoiled and clumsy gem but grew as a serious and solemn gem. Accidently, when I was designing Ven’s final design, the color theme for him is teal which could refer to Phos as well. This was unintentional. He didn’t really fit with any other colors, so teal was my last choice. Then becoming inspired by Tanjiro Kamado from Kimetsu no Yaiba by his friendly and tolerant personality, I felt like I just needed a protagonist who wasn’t your generic protagonist who is a jerk, perverted, clueless, lazy, and very slow-minded. I wanted to create a protagonist that anyone would like and Ven’s now a more gentle and kinder person. I’m very satisfied with these changes because I, too, would’ve not been happy with him as well.

Trivia:
Ven’s real name “Asahi” (旭) means “morning sun” which coordinates with his theme of the sun and his birthday. His surname “Suzuki” (鈴木) means “bell tree” or “bud tree”.
His nickname Ven is from “Ventus” which means wind in Latin. This could refer to being swift and quick as the wind due to his quick reflexes and agility.
His favorite food is teriyaki chicken. He pretty much likes eating all kinds of meat food.
Speaking of food, since he’s the oldest out of all of his siblings, he was taught by his mother to cook meals, clean, and do chores. He’s sometimes teased for being “wife material”.
