Speedpaint. A speedpaint so quick and sloppy, it was practically there when I booted up adobe. I totally needed more references, esp. on the body, and maybe a better fold/cloth idea than a glance at my bathrobe. I just had this idea that he would have a very elegant throat like a classical statue or something. To be honest I think I spent the most time trying not to make his lightsaber look... freudian. all my efforts for naughtHe's not as olive as I wanted him to be, nor quite so dark as I intended, but it is only a concept thing and I'll be able to tighten up the features and body for later drawings. This image is for ~VernaJast, as I'm trying to draw her dude exile, Ben. I think I'm happy with the set of his mouth and his eyes. They're.. bensitive.
As a fun side note, if you crank up a dodge filter on this, and maybe draw in some lead panes, this makes an excellent stained glass window panel.

I love how pictures can do that to a person. Or listening to a song over and over while they write something. When I had to write my tradegy I listened over and over to 'The promise' by Match book Romance. The song itself isn't really that heartbreaking; it could be seen as happy-the music video for it ends kinds bittersweet. But it worked for me, and I got my assignment done in no time flat.

I do the same thing. I put a song (or group of songs) on repeat for DAYS! VNV Nation's Praise the Fallen fueled most of the first 15 chapters of FtR.
This picture of Ben completely inspires me every time I see it to want to write.

There is something in the twist of his body that makes you want to see more. Also I love his neck and his expression...awesome job!

He's...he's Ben. Jery you did a great job!!
That face is just the right combination of bensitivity and the sort of sorrowful look he has when not making an effort to smile. He's lighthearted, for the most part, but...disturbed. Of course, you know. 
I can see Atton walking up behind him, wrapping his arms around Ben's waist, and sticking his chin on Ben's right shoulder in this picture. With a stupid grin, about to try and make him smile. Obviously at some point in the future when he's gotten over Sober!Ben kissing him in the cargo hold. 
Thank you for painting him, and for taking an interest in my character and story. At this point, "our" story, as your input has really help bring it to fruition.

That's really good - you seem to be bashing it but that looks really cool - the lighting gives it a nice mood and style. And again, you've seem to captured a snapshot - you do it so well

But what I always see in your art - sort of warm colours, outlines that could be shading at the same time and also the knack to make a picture and have the setting, expression, movement look so natural it could be a snapshot of real life.
