I'm pretty uninformed on the etching hobby particulars - Let me ask, did you do this totally freehand hand, or was there a stencil you made? Β I'm assuming stencil, since those are some smooth lines. Β I'd be interested to know how all that works.

Um, I printed out a black and white image and then cut it out with a scalpel. Each of the clear spots on the glass was a piece of paper I cut out covering the glass.
