Description
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven.
Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
(Matthew 19:23-24)

That's how difficult it is for people to give up money!
We definitely need money to get by from Sunday to Sunday, but for the sake of the kingdom of heaven there's not much point in sitting on a pile of cash.
We serve to the extent which we are given, whether that is a little or a lot.
The main obstacle that money presents is trust. The kingdom of heaven is about recognising and trusting in God's providence and will. Without any kind of faith or trust, we default to trusting in our own providence and will, the work of our own hands, the plenty of our own possessions..
which will all fade away..
