Description My part of an art trade with ~Derpstar
I was asked to draw her lovely character Honeystar. <3 After reading her bio I felt I just need to have her looking all wise and noble. c: I wanted to have some practive with skies and figured a simple night sky would be a good start. I also wanted to practice a side view of a cat's head. (Which still needs some improvement) I hope you like it!

Hello, courtneyrc ,
Well first of all I would like to overall give this work an A+, because the detail is amazing, the lighting is 75% realistic and just the cat's fur effects and anatomy is something I would kill for er EAT A SARDINE FOR.
Ahem.
The only things I have to criticize are the stars (too doodle-ish and not really realistic) and the big line on the cat's side that I suppose is meant to be muscle, but it doesn't really make it look that realistic.
Apart from that, I must ask - why is the cat so 'lit up' compared to the rest of the scenery? Is it because the Moon is lighting up the cat? for a minute when I saw this I was reminded of the scene in 'Brother Bear' where the lights n the sky abducted the eskimo to turn him into a bear. NO OFFENSE - i just mean that this is good if the moonrays were meant to light up the cat, but if not it's a little unrealistic unless you make the moon light up the rest of the scenery (grass, trees etc.) and lastly I suppose you could make the tail fluffier


Okay, this was already really long... but again, excellent work! the detail especially in the fur is my favorite!

I'm not really sure, for my version came with my Tablet. I do know that some versions are more than others.

Court.. I'm sorry I didn't comment on your last majestic works of art.. But this is simply stunning. The lightened outline of the cat shows the moon's effect, and the fur texture simply adds the realistic part of this. The grass and bushes have a nice addition, making the background pay off. This is one stunning work that many won't simply forget. c:

I sadly do not take any requests, sorry. :c Although I do plan on opening cheap point commissions soon. I do take some art trades, but I currently have a big list of art trades so it would be a very long wait.
