The strange light and air impart the sense of being on a different planet; a lonely, desolate place that's both unwelcoming and filled with death.

Despite the poor air quality, the temperatures remain rather high -- soaring beyond 100F, even in the midst of such heavy atmospheric blockage. Sweat beads leave snakelike trails on skin, mixing with the dirt collected from simply being alive during such an event.
