I really like the way you've done the textures on this, particularly the scales. All the more impressive that it was done just with a mechanical pencil. The texture together with the shading makes this look very realistic. Very nice work.

.05 mechanical, followed up with a .01. Thats pretty much it. Thanks!

You can get a 0.05 mechanical pencil? Might have to hunt one down, currently I use a 0.5, usually with 2Bs, and a 0.18 pen.

I like the fact that you took the time to shade the individual scales, not merely represent them as little circles (or polygons) like so many others. The battle scars are nifty too. Good job
