Description Colored commission of my Star Wars OC Colleen Lightblade.

This cute Corellian is the daughter of a mid-level diplomat and his Chandrilan wife. After "testing positive" for Jedi potential, she enrolled at Luke Skywalker's Jedi academy in 20 ABY, at the age of 13. After spending a full three years there as a librarian and sometimes-apprentice to Tionne Solusar, she is "recruited" by Tyrax Delacon Nova (another of my OCs) to undergo training as an elite operative dedicated to hunting down Sith and other forms of Dark Jedi. (A stark departure for the former bookworm).

The two of them had a rocky introduction, but she eventually acclimated to the harsh training, and in fact thrived as a Shadow (the "technical name" for what she's training to do- I found it in a Tales of the Jedi supplement, and ran with it). Delacon learned compassion, mercy and patience from the formerly innocent-to-a-fault teen, while Colleen learned confidence, self-respect and a good dose of sarcasm from her mentor. She "passed" from her apprenticeship in ABY 25, just as the Yuuzhan Vong invasion begins, where she took up the training of future Shadows, in addition to her own missions.

In ABY 24, Colleen met Imperial Remnant faction leader (and distaff relative of former Emperor Palpatine) Moff-Admiral Darius. While initially distrustful of the Imperial commander, they eventually cultivate a relationship based on both their desires to protect those weaker than them, and to spread justice through the galaxy. They would eventually marry in ABY 27, and have a daughter - Calista Lightblade - in ABY 28.

In ABY 29, everything collapsed. First, Calista would develop a Force illness that would claim her life shortly before her first birthday. Then, during a pitched space battle, her husband Darius would die after forcing her into an escape shuttle as their Star Destroyer exploded. Colleen found herself alone for the first time in her life. It would take her a further 5 years to come to grips with the loss of her family.

This image is of Colleen in ABY 36, shortly after her 29th birthday. She has moved past the darkness of her youth, and is ready to "move on." What the future holds is a mystery, but Colleen is ready for it.
