Not really a crit but always imagined him older, more ragged, gaunt and evil looking.
As far as crits : the fiddle can be improved, if I didn't know what it was it would look like a horribly misshappen sword/weapon grip. Also on his left shoulder the armor looks like 3 saucages... which gives a great explanation as to why this Fiddler is fattened up! I'd recommend using the same type of armor plate as his right side.
Your series of Malazan characters is very impressive.

Changed the sausage armour 
Wanted it to be different from the plate, because he is often described having mismatched armour.

Oh wow the updated armor looks much better. Β I'm looking at the higher resolution image on my computer now and honestly you did good work on the armor beyond just that update. Β I totally agree with your rationale for the mismatch!
For the fiddle I think you can also implement an easier fix, remember fiddles traditionally have 4 strunes (spelling?) and 4 tightening/tuning knobs. Β You can get an easy reference for what I'm talking about if you just do a google image search for "fiddle". Β
