They can't be more polar opposites, but they work so well together. I'd want this to be a thing in canon (and not just cameos, which I believe has happened).

Also, upon second viewing, I kind of like how the clouds are shaped as if they were angelic wings on Metroid. A nice touch (which may or may not have been your intention). Actually, it's the where the clouds aren't. Maybe it's some sort of illusion my mind placed. I don't know, now I can't see it as well.
