I'm always moved when I drive through Trona, looking at all the abandoned, dilapidated homes there. It's a testament to a different America, a time when the middle class was more vibrant, and you could own a home without having a college degree or graduate degree.

that's really interesting.. i'm noticing their are complementary colours (contrasting) and also a contrast between the scenic outdoors and an old, wron down bench. is the parallelism on purpose?

I don't know why I haven't comment before, or maybe I did and comments aren't working right now. My mom grew up in Trona. I'm visiting Ridgecrest next week, one of my goals is to drive down to Trona, find this, and photograph it in IR as well.

Please if you would, explain the whole IR thing?? Do you have to use IR film?? Or is it just a filter with colour film? Am v confused on the topic. Also, how do I know how big my lens is to buy the right flter?!
This is a great capture by the way!
Many thanks if you can help!

the only thing disturbs me is that the image is wider in the left side of the bench ^_ -
